Western Australia is home to world-class energy research and training
facilities and resources. Recognising this, the Sustainable Energy Development Office is working towards developing an information resource to provide to businesses which will assist them in adopting sustainable energy practices. This resource will be built on the strength of sustainable energy seminars which have successfully been delivered to businesses in the past.
The seminars will provide up to date technical advice to assist your business
become Energy Smart. Designed to reflect Western Australia's unique circumstances,
they are aimed at helping your company identify and implement energy management
initiatives in an effort to help your business operate more efficiently,
saving both money and the environment through reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
The seminars are intended to change the way you think about energy management
issues. They should also help to develop a pathway to a long-term vision
for your business. Many businesses view energy as a fixed cost with little
opportunity for reducing energy bills. Changing this perception is crucial
to increasing the uptake of sustainable energy solutions. Increasing business
awareness of the local sustainable energy industry and enhancing the quality
of products and services available is truly "Energy Smart Business".
