The Sustainable Energy Development Office produces a whole of government report on the outcomes of the Energy Smart Government program each year. The reports outline individual agency results and the overall achievements across all participating agencies.

Key Outcomes for 2007/08

Energy use per full time equivalent employee was reduced by 4.3% relative to 2006/07.
A saving of 2.6% was achieved in absolute energy use compared to business as usual (BAU scenario based on State economic growth).
Over half the participating agencies reduced the intensity of their energy use (became more energy efficient), and 14 agencies reported improvements of more than 10%.
