ACCREDITATION AND TESTING

Australian Business Council for Sustainable Energy
The Australian Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) is a member based industry association representing the sustainable energy industry in Australia.

The Central College of TAFE provides assessment and testing for designers and installers of renewable energy based power systems to become accredited by the BCSE. Accreditation is usually required to perform work for clients wishing to receive government rebates under programs such as the Renewable Remote Power Generation Program and the Photovoltaic Rebate Program.

ResLab
ResLab is an independent test laboratory at Murdoch University which tests components and systems that integrate wind and photovoltaic energy generators with diesel generator sets and battery storage. The facility is designed to test grid-connected components and demand side components that are powered by remote area power supply systems. Some ability to test systems in the field is also available.

The Sustainable Energy Development Office Grants Program, together with the Department of Commerce and Trade, provided funding towards initial establishment of the laboratory and continues to provide partial funding for ongoing operation of the facility.
